39 Weeks

How far along? 39 Weeks--- excuse the pic... I was exhausted... 39 weeks prego... and a bit swollen lol Cheers!

Sleep: Eh.... not the greatest but alright!
Best moment this week: We got to hear baby girl's heartbeat a lot this week! (details about this at the bottom)

Miss Anything? My body... I am ready to get back to my normal size.
Movement: Yes! Esp when I'm (we, I guess really) are hungry!

Food Cravings: Milkshakes/Ice cream
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope

Labor Signs: No labor signs.... but labor scare. I will explain at the bottom :-p

Wedding Ring on or off? Off... my Dr suggested I go ahead and take them off to be safe!
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy! Def have some moody moments.. but hey! I'm 39 weeks prego.. give me a break! lol
Looking forward to: Meeting our baby girl... I think she will be here sooner then her due date.

 

UPDATES:

 

So.... this Friday was my weekly dr appointment. Colby and I went and I was pretty nervous becaise I knew the dr would "check" me to see if I had dilated anymore. It isn't the greatest experience lol... so I was anxious. The nurse took my blood pressure and it was super high. This is a first... it is always normal. She got another nurse to check it... and it was still high. They kind of started panicking... which really She sent Colby & I into a room and we waited to the other nurse and midwife. She checked my BP again... but on my side. It was still high. I got checked again... and my cerix is still closed. She then told me they were going to send me over to labor and delivery to be monitored because of my high blood pressure. I have always had negative results for pre eclampsia... but they were worried that it could have just now showed up. So... off we went to the hospital. I was monitored for an hour on my side and had a normal BP and another negative test for pre eclampsia. So...  I was told to take it easy and have a follow up appointment on Tuesday at the dr's office. We left... grabbed dinner and went home for the night. All seemed to be well!

 

Saturday came... after a very long night of not much sleep. I now was worrying about everything because of what happened Friday. But.. I went on about my day. I borrowed my mom's BP machine just to keep my eye on my BP until my appointment Tuesday. It is a good thing because in the afternoon I took it and it seemed a bit high. I waited a little bit... and then took it again and it was high... and then went higher. My anxiety over it probably didn't help... but I tried to relax and lay one my left side. After relaxing... I took it again and it was still high. I called the on call dr... which was Dr. Urban... and she said to wait an hour... take it again. If the bottom number continued to be over 100 then to come in. I waited and... it was still over 100. Off to labor and delivery we went. When we got there the nurse took my BP sitting up (like I took it at home) and it was 180/108!! Yikes! I then got on my left side and was monitored for about 2 hours... and... it went back to normal. SO...... pretty much as long as I lay on my left and relax my BP is normal... but as soon as I start doing anything... it goes really high. Dr. Urban also noticed my legs/ankles/feet. They have been pretty swollen for a few weeks but it has never seemed to be a concern until my high BP. I had blood work done... to again check for anything and pre eclamsia. My blood work came back perfect! :)  She then told me that it was time for me to take my leave from work and be on bed rest until the baby comes. She wants to try to hold off as long as possible because if they have to induce me.... I have a high risk of having a c section because my cervix is still closed. The great news is that the baby is completely perfect :) and doing just fine!!! I just need to relax and PRAY my cervix starts dilating. No matter what... it will all be okay :) I am just hoping to not have a c section. Dr. Uran wants my follow up appointment to be Monday, instead of Tuesday... so after tomorrow... I guess we will see what they say. for now..... I need to just sit back and relax and hope my BP is down when I go to the dr tomorrow. Please keep us in your prayers :)

Nursery

38 Weeks

How far along? 38 Weeks
Maternity Clothes? Yes... and now they are even gettin uncomfy. I would love to wear pj pants all day, everyday lol

Stretch marks? No
Sleep: Same! Sleeping well... but it is more like taking a bunch of naps during the night lol
Best moment this week: Baby girl is still head down :) I love hearing that at my appointments! Also... my nephew, Gavin (newly 2 year old) came up to me and stood under my belly and started rubbing my belly. It was the sweetest thing EVER! This was his second time doing it. It melted my heart!
Have you told family and friends: Yes!
Miss Anything? Being able to put my shoes on and take them off without making it a big ordeal..
Movement: Yes! The doctor is still guessing she is weighing over 7 pounds right now... I don't know how much room she could possibly have in there for all the movement she makes!

Food Cravings: Pizza is still my bff!
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope

Labor Signs: Still the minor cramps.... but nothing else!

Wedding Ring on or off? On... but DEF getting snug at night
Happy or Moody most of the time: So happy!!! :) I have had such a wonderful pregnancy! I am beyond thankful for that. I have not had any problems and now everyday she stays put is just bonus time:) I am so blessed! I can only hope this continues for her birth and after!
Looking forward to: Baby girl's arrival! Wondering is she will be a March or April baby!!!!

37 Weeks

How far along? 37 Weeks
Maternity Clothes? Yes! My size small maternity tops are starting to not cover my belly lol... I refuse to buy more clothes though, Luckily my maternity camis are long :)

Stretch marks? Nope
Sleep: Sleeping well... but getting up every hour and a half on the dot to tinkle.
Best moment this week: At my appointment this week... baby girl is still head down :) yay!! The midwife guessed that she is over 7 pounds already! She estimated her weighing in the upper 7's at birth. We shall see if she is right! :)
Have you told family and friends: Yes! lol
Miss Anything? Sleeping for more then an hour and a half lol...
Movement: Yes! She is still moving! Now I know where her head, back and butt are located so it is neat to have an IDEA of what is what when I feel her moving.

Food Cravings: Chocolate chip cookies again... & of course, PIZZA PIZZA and more PIZZA lol
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope

Labor Signs: Nope... I few cramps once in awhile... but major.

Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy!!! I am so happy to make it to the 37 weeks mark! I was so nervous about having her before 37 weeks.. a big weight has been lifted to know that.. we made it!! :)
Looking forward to: This weekend is St. Patrick's Day weekend... which means Colby's annual Soccer tournament in OC. We usually stay all weekend, but I have decided to not go as much this year to be safe. I am still looking forward to a mini get a way to OC. I am REALLY hoping baby girl lets us get through this weekend. After that.. she can come :) Her daddy has been very worried lol

36 Weeks

How far along? 36 Weeks
Maternity Clothes? Yes!

Stretch marks? Nope
Sleep: Sleeping pretty well... most nights.
Best moment this week: I had my first check up this week where the Dr checks everything out. As of Friday, my cervix was still closed and I was 60% effaced. The Dr seemed very happy with that. I was glad to hear my cervix was still closed. I am hoping babyb girl sits tight for atleast two more weeks!
Have you told family and friends: Yes! lol
Miss Anything? Def still sleeping on my stomach. Getting comfy is getting harder and harder.
Movement: Yes! I feel like she is moving a lot more... but I don't see it lasting much longer like it is... because there really isn't much room in there. She is taking up my entire belly right now lol

Food Cravings: Jello with cool whip!!!
Anything making you queasy or sick: Plaza is actually not sitting well anymore.... just like the first trimester. I can eat it right now.... but I get light headed during and after. I think I am going to hold off on Plaza for a bit :)
Gender prediction: Baby GIRL! <3
Labor Signs: No! However.... after my appointment Friday, I have started feeling a little cramping. I am hoping that settles down.
Belly Button in or out? Flat & def starting to poke out!

Looking forward to: Preparing for Brooke's arrival. This weekend we got a lot done. It has def made me a lot more relaxed about everything. Now I just need to maintain it! Lol

35 Weeks

How far along? 35 Weeks
Maternity Clothes? Yes!

Stretch marks? No
Sleep: Yes... but getting up even more often in the night... which I didn't think was possible.
Best moment this week: Maternity pics were this weekend!! I think we really got some neat ones:) ALSO... the nursery is FINALLY almost done. We just have a few things to still do... but it is actually a nursery now lol. It's beautiful! I will post pics when it is 100% done... okay maybe 90% done... lol
Have you told family and friends: Yes! lol
Miss Anything? Being able to move around. I miss being able to get up and down and move without thinking about it first lol...

Maternity Clothes? Yes!

Stretch marks? No
Sleep: Sleeping well.. when I actually am asleep. I feel like I just take a bunch of naps now. I usually wake up every 1 1/2-2 hours.I guess I better get used to it!
Best moment this week: BABY SHOWER!!! Today was the baby shower and it was PERFECT! I am sooo greatful for our amazing family and friends. I will hopefully have some time tomorrow to post pics!

Miss Anything? Sleeping in.... I get excited now if I sleep till 7:30! lol... pathetic! :-p

33 weeks

Sleep: Pretty well! I still have some nights where I can't seem to get comfortable... but I've been sleepy decently. So, I'll take it!
Best moment this week: I have been playing music for Brooke using headphones :) Everytime the music comes on she moves all around! If Pandora messes up & the music cuts off... I know it because she gets still. It is so wild!!! Maybe a little dancer?!??!?!? :-p ALSO... my wonderful co workers surprised me last week with a wonderful baby shower! It was WONDERFUL :)

Miss Anything? Tanning bed lol... & sleeping on my stomach
Movement: Yes! We def have a wiggle worm!

Sleep: Soooooo much better!!!:) I think between the new mattress and the chiropractor... I am finally getting some sleep! Now If I could only figure out how to make my ribs not hurt from baby girl... I would be set lol
Best moment this week: Just getting things ready for baby girls arrival! I am also enjoying the prepared childbirth classes.

Miss Anything? My ribs.... or really... not feeling my ribs. Now... they are what I think about all the time.
Movement: Oh yeah.... there really aren't anymore little hits and kicks. Now it is MOVEMENT! Its wild :)

Sleep: Better! We got a new mattress this weekend that is WONDERFUL! I am hoping that this will help my back and allow me to sleep better :)
Best moment this week: Painting in the nursery is finally complete!!! :) There is still A LOT to do... but I feel a lot better having the paint done. The first gray we had... looked purple... then we got the wrong finish of the correct gray.... blah blah blah thankfully my dad is wonderful and painted it 4... yes 4 times for us :)
Have you told family and friends: Yes! ...thinking about just deleting this question lol
Miss Anything? Really would love to sleep on my stomach... I never realized how relaxing it is until I couldn't anymore lol.
Movement: Yes! Lots of movement!! :)

I forgot to add last week that I am up a total of 25 pounds. When I checked today it was still up 25 pounds. I know baby girl is going to go fast now!! I can't believe today marks 31 weeks///8 months!!!!!!!!!!!! 2 months to go :)

 

Oh.. and I thought the roads would be bad this Saturday because of the snow... so I am going to get the air brush tanning done this coming Saturday!

30 weeks

 

How far along? 30 Weeks
Maternity Clothes? Yes! I am still wearing regular shirts too... but in a bigger size :)

Stretch marks? Nope!
Sleep: Uhhh... not well! We are getting a new mattress this week and I am BEYOND hopeful that it will help. I just can't seem to get comfortable... esp with my back. I am surrounded with pillows, which has helped, but I am really hoping the new mattress does the trick!
Best moment this week: We got to see our baby girl this week again!!! I am actually glad she was stubborn last week so we could see her again! lol. She did a much better job this time and we got somegood pics. This time I drank a McDonald's sweet tea before I went and brought another one when she seemed to get comfy. LOL... I don't know if that is what made the difference or not... but it worked!
Have you told family and friends: Yes!
Miss Anything? Still sleeping on my stomach... and also tanning. I am proud of myself for lasting this long... but I think this coming weekend I am going to have an airbrush tanning done. I have never done this before, but I am super excited!! It will help me feel better about myself, so I am all for it :) This kind is very safe for the baby. I don't go in a booth or anything.. a lady does it!
Movement: Oh yes!! Sometimes I think she goes flips and cartwheels...!!!

Food Cravings: Chocolate pudding & water! I can't seem to be without water.. I am drinking like a fish!!! :)

Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy, of course... BUT the mood swings in the 3rd trimester are much worse!! The first trimiester was nothing compared to now!! bahaha my poor hubby :-p
Looking forward to: Getting the nursery and house ready for the baby!!! So much to do... I wil feel so much better when it is done!!

 

We started our Prepared Childbirth classes at PRMC. The first class was good... but I think we will learn a lot more in the next 3 classes. We have off tomorrow for MLK's birthday... but start back up the following Monday. I am excited to learn more.... and of course, see Colby in the pregnancy suit!!!!

29 Weeks

 

How far along? 29Weeks
Maternity Clothes? Yes! I went out this week and bought some maternity tops from Macy's... this is one of them :)

Stretch marks? No.. :) hoping that doesnt change!
Sleep: Much better! My chiroractor has really helped me with my back pain... which is helping me sleep so better! I am so glad I started going to see her. (Dr. Iman for all the other prego mommas out there... GO SEE HER!!!)
Best moment this week: Seeing our baby girl this Saturday with our family!!!!! It was wonderful. She is stubborn (like her father lol) so we get to go back this coming Saturday to try to get some better pics! We did get a few good ones that I will post at the bottom. We learned that she likes to open her eyes (yes you could see her doing this lol) ... she DOES have hair already (I was not surprised  bc of my heart burn lol)... she loves to snuggle with her hands close to her face... and is comfy in my tummy :) We went to a wonderful place called Wiggles & Giggles. The owner was wonderful and took extra time to get baby girl to cooperate and also deal with our big family! LOL I think we had 20 people in the room :) I can't wait to go back! I also bought an ADORABLE outfit from there that is a tutu with a ballerina top.. and a bear that has her heartneat inside :) What a wonderful day it was!

I passed my glucose test :) Soooooo thankful!!! My blood test did say I needed more iron... so I am now taking iron pills. No big deal... and I also expected this to happen. I am hoping the iron pills help me get some energy because I have been EXHAUSTED lately!

28 Weeks

Sleep: Not great because of my back... but getting better!
Best moment this week: Today is my birthday :) I (WE) got to enjoy lots of yummy food and treats! I always said I wanted to be 26 when I have my first child... :) Looks like that will come true!!! :)

Miss Anything? Caesar salad... esp from Texas Roadhouse!
Movement: Baby girl is on the go a lot! She has even found my ribs! LOL

Food Cravings: Still going strong with cereal!

Looking forward to: This Saturday.. for my birthday celebration we are going to have a 3D/4D ultrasound done with our family at Wiggles & Giggles! I am BEYOND excited!!!!! Hopefully baby girl cooperates and we get to see what she looks like :) After the ultrasound we are all going out to lunch. I CANT WAIT!!!!


I had to do the glucose test this week to test my sugar. I heard horror stories about how terrible it is.... but it wasn't at all!!! It tasted like orange soda and I was done drinking it in 2 minutes! They said no news is good news... so fingers crossed!!! :)
